Aurora College's Continuing Education courses provide Northerners with the opportunity to develop new skills or improve existing ones. Subjects are professional in orientation, such as Management Studies and Safety Training and Certification, while others are general interest programs.

  The purpose of this course is to train operators in the theory and practical skills in the operation of Class 5 motor vehicles, as well as providing a course to assist in developing a good driving attitude and driving habits. This driver education course consists of 25 classroom lecture hours and eight hours of in-vehicle instruction.

This St. John Ambulance course includes Standard First Aid with CPR Level C (adult/infant/child) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED). It is for those who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies in the home or workplace. A variety of topics are covered, from basic cardiovascular and breathing emergencies, CPR Level C and prevention of disease transmission, to more severe sudden medical conditions and injuries to the head and spine.

Individuals may be certified by the Project Management Institute (an internationally-recognized body of project management professionals), a comprehensive program that certifies individuals knowledge in the field of project management. If you would like to find out more information please visit www.pmi.org.

This course provides an intensive review of the subject matter tested on the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Exam. You will improve your test-taking skills by completing sample exam questions and by discussing the rationale behind both correct and incorrect answers. This course will help you identify personal strengths and weaknesses in each of the knowledge areas and develop a personal strategy for passing the exam.

Unfortunately, at this time, Aurora College, Thebacha Campus does not offer the PMP exam.
