In this 100 hour course students will actively explore various aspects of the mining industry including its
economic significance to Canada and the Northwest Territories, types of mines, and the mining cycle.
Instruction in First-Aid and CPR, WHMIS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Safety Awareness, and Confined Space will ensure that students will have the prerequisite safety certification for the mine site.
