ABE Social Studies was developed for use by all ABE learners. The curriculum emphasizes the “process” of Social Studies, introducing students to key concepts and generic skills that can be applied to the study of any social phenomenon. The Social Studies curriculum is based on a multi-level approach around four themes:
  • Your Community/Your Region
  • Northern Studies
  • Contemporary Canada
  • The Global Village
