The Pre-Technology program is designed to provide Northerners with the opportunities to upgrade their
skills in communications, mathematics, science and computer applications. The successful graduate will have the credentials to apply for admission to an accredited Technology Program at a Post-Secondary institution in Alberta, and the Northwest Territories (e.g. NAIT, Aurora College, etc.). The Aurora College Program is designed to include a balance of theory and practical lab instruction, with an emphasis on personal management, learning and employability skills. The program has two streams. The General Stream is designed for students wishing to move on to most of the Engineering Technologies at NAIT and Technology Programs elsewhere. This would include, Construction, Civil, Surveying, Environmental Technology, Architectural, Interior Design, and others. Students in the General Stream may also choose to focus on Biology or Physics.
The Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation (E/I) is designed for students wishing to move on to Engineering Technologies at NAIT in the areas of Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Avionics, Telecommunications, Computer Networking and some Computer Engineering Technology programs.
