Brief Professional History: My nursing career began in Newfoundland & Labrador in 1995 where I worked in neuro and general surgery. In 1998 adventure led me north to Yellowknife where I was privileged to work as a float nurse at Stanton Territorial Hospital. A love of preceptorship and a passion for education led me teaching at Aurora College. More

Brief Professional History: I have been in the nursing profession for over 40 years and 25 of those years have been in nursing education. ‘Down south”, I have worked as a staff nurse in general surgery, neurosurgery ICU, pediatric ICU, and as a clinical instructor in pediatrics at the IWK Children’s Hospital in Halifax. The first time I came north was in 1989 where I worked in Health Centres in the Kitikmeot region primarily as nurse in charge and acting senior nursing officer for over 9 years. More

Brief Professional History: Originally from Nova Scotia, I came to the Great White North in 1992 with the Canadian Forces, Naval Reserves Branch. My love for nursing started in high school with my great grandmother’s influence being my inspiration. Not only did I inspire to be a nurse, I dreamt that I would be a nurse in Northern Canada. More

I also created, developed and rolled out the new territorial program of Med-Response. More

Brief Professional History: : I moved to Yellowknife from Ontario in 2001 where I had worked as a medical/surgical and oncology/palliative RN. I came as a float nurse to assist in the reopening of the surgery unit at Stanton Territorial Hospital. I eventually worked as the clinical coordinator of Pediatrics/Surgery overflow unit which included Acting Manager of Maternal Child Services. More
