With more than 300 full-time students, Thebacha Campus is the largest of the three Aurora College campuses. It is also the most southerly, located in Fort Smith near the 60th parallel and the Alberta border.
The community is situated on the bank of the Slave River, which has four sets of spectacular whitewater rapids. Fort Smith (pop. 2,400) is also the gateway to Wood Buffalo National Park and the nesting grounds of the endangered whooping crane.
